Videora iPad Converter is an HTML-based conversion tool that allows you to convert video files so that you can play them on the beautiful 9.7-inch screen of the iPad. The app supports a lot of input formats and has two different modes: normal and expert. The normal mode is intended for users with no knowledge of video formats, resolution, and all other concepts. It provides a wizard-based approach that guides the user through the whole process.
I usually choose the expert mode, because it allows me to better tweak the conversion process. But this time, I wanted to relax and let the application do the work for me. I noticed a strange thing, while I was following the wizard, though. In the video settings step, you are asked what video size you want. The options are TV and HDTV. This tells me that the developers didn't even bother about improving the product and that all the Videora converters are one and the same, but with different names.
The default path to the files converted seems to be invalid, and an error is returned. Changing the destination path for your files resolves the issue.
In my testing, after realizing a solution to the aforementioned problem, I could successfully convert an FLV file to an MP4 file that was playable on my iPad. The conversion speed is on a par with other solutions out there, and it is definitely not the fastest converter I have tried.
